A “Supernatural” source has confirmed that the ubiquitous and talented Mark Sheppard will play a “pivotal” crossroads demon named Crowley in Episode 10 of the season. The episode is called “Abandon All Hope…,” and it was written by Ben Edlund and will be directed by Phil Sgriccia. It’s the final “Supernatural” episode of 2009 (the show will resume its fifth season with new episodes in 2010. More than a month without “Supernatural”? Say it ain’t so!). The episode is “epic” and will “definitely … have the fans on the edge of their seats going into the holiday ‘hellatus,’” my source said.

One question was posed to E!Online :

Melora in Pittsburgh: I spotted Anna in a couple of Supernatural promos. Is really back, or is that old footage?

Anna does indeed return for Supernatural season five. She first appears in episode two and is slated for additional appearances. (In the meantime, don’t forget that you can also see Julie McNiven now and again as secretary Hildy on Mad Men!)

Anna played by the actress Julie McNiven will appear in the episode “Good God, Y’all” which makes sense because this is the episode that will see the return of a face from Season 3 and two we haven’t seen since Season 2. You might be asking yourself which faces? We will be seeing the return of Ellen and Jo Harvelle, the former Roadhouse crew before demons burned the bar to a pile of wood killing Ash and a few other hunters in the progress. Jo and Ellen were spared death: Jo had run off to become a hunter in her own right and Ellen, well she just sort of went poof when Season 2 ended and we haven’t heard from her since. From Season 3 we will see the return of the hermit hunter we met only once named Rufus Turner. Rufus and Jo capture Sam and you can see brief images of that here.

The actor who plays Sam and Dean’s father on ‘Supernatural’ says he has not been contacted by anyone although he has expressed his willingness to re-appear.

Should creator Eric Kripke decide to bring back John Winchester down to earth on “Supernatural”, the actor portraying the character is ready to get in action. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, in his chat with Movie Web, said that he really wants to come back for at least one episode before the show ends for good this season. [ Read the Full Article ]

“Cas doesn’t know how he came back,” Misha Collins (Castiel) told us when we spoke earlier this week. “He has his suspicions. He thinks he knows how he came back, but he doesn’t have any proof of it. He’s trying to piece together how [it happened] and if it’s what he thinks it is, it’s quite amazing.”

In 2008, Misha Collins joined the cast of the CW television series Supernatural as the character Castiel, an angel sent to Earth by God to release the series lead character Dean (Jensen Ackles) from Hell to fulfill a job. Now in its fifth season, the actor will continue to appear as a series regular, working with Dean and his brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) to stop the apocalypse.

During press interviews for the show, Misha Collins talked about getting to play a bad-ass angel, who is a little bit hindered in his abilities, now that he’s been fired from Heaven.

This following article is brilliant and I couldn’t agree with it more so I wanted to share it here. Feel free to discuss it in the comments.

The Supernatural season 5 had a ton of feel-good moments, mostly centered on Dean finding new and creative ways to insult Zachariah, but just when fans thoughts the boys were back on the same page, ready to face the devil, the final scene reminded everyone that what happened last season didn’t stay in last season.
